Earth Hour
When: March 29th, 2014 @ 8:30pm
Where: Your place!
Brought to you by Kara Soderblom, Independent Consultant for Arbonne International. Visit Kara’s Arbonne Site.
For one hour, we ask you to turn off all of your lights, computers, televisions, and other electricity-sucking devices.
Why? It’s symbolic and it shows our commitment to saving our planet. But, I like to think of it as sticking it to the power company for a moment. đŸ™‚
So, shut’em down, get your neighbors, friends, family, and the cat to shut theirs down, too!!!
Maybe play some Monopoly by candlelight … or other things.

How much electricity do you think you use each day? I tend to use my Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) that has an LCD screen to let me know about how much juice my equipment is sucking. But there are fancy little devices available that can help you figure out how much electricity you’re using for certain appliances (no, sorry, not for your dryer or electric stove).
Check out the Kill-A-Watt Meter Family:

Please enjoy Earth Hour responsibly. Avoid stubbing your toes and keep your Arbonne candles away from curtains, drapes, cats, and other flammable materials.
Remember, that’s March 29th at 2030hrs. For the non-military folk, that’s 8:30pm.
Shameless, but helpful plug: Need any electric help? Check out Enhanced Electrical Services for all of your electrical wiring needs.
